VH1 has hired Michael Hirschorn, former editor-in-chief of Inside.com, as senior VP of news and production. In his new role, Hirschorn will be supervising all music-related news and documentary programming.

David Bohrman, who left his executive position at CNNfn two years ago, is returning as senior executive producer for the net's new flagship evening newscast, which debuts this fall.

Matthew Breen, whose past positions include those of publicist for AtomFilms and mPRm Pubic Relations, as well as press office manager for the Sundance Film Festival, has been named the new film program director for the Austin Film Festival.

Dan Darling, former senior VP of Atlanta-based Turner Studios, was named executive VP of entertainment operations for the Turner Entertainment Group.

At Turner Broadcasting Sales International Jacqueline Fallous, former director of interactive sales has been promoted to VP of integrated and interactive sales. Thomas Stevens, former sales manager for the Western region was promoted to VP of Turner Entertainment Sales.

Donna Thomas, former senior VP of national accounts for the affiliate sales and marketing division of Discovery Networks has been named senior VP of sales and marketing for Incanta Inc.

Michele Day, veteran sales manager at Film Australia, has joined ABC Enterprises Video as the acting manager of non-theatric video program sales.

Former CEO of Rival Networks Mark Shuken was named VP and GM of Fox Sports Net's northwest region.

Dan Harrison, former VP at ZeniMax Media, has joined Fox Sports Group as senior VP of programming and strategic planning.

Alisa Anderson, former director of business affairs at NBC Enterprises in L.A., has joined CBS Broadcast International as VP of business affairs.

The Golf Channel has promoted Barbara Hayes to the position of managing director of affiliate marketing. She had previously been director.

Priscilla Pesci has been appointed senior VP of marketing for the MGM Worldwide Television Group. Pesci came from Impact Media, where she served as senior VP of worldwide marketing, strategic planning and special projects.
