Eilleen O'Neill has been promoted to VP of programming, Discovery Health. She will manage the outlet's programming schedule, acquisitions and film budget.
Yves Jeanneau will succeed Olivier Masson, who died in an accident last month, as head of Sunny Side of the Doc. The documentary market is held in Marseilles, France and is scheduled to take place from June 28 to 30, 2001.
Vision TV's Rita Deverell, VP of new concept development and one of the network's founders, will take a six-month sabbatical effective August 1. She will spend the time as a senior resident at the University of Toronto's Massey College and as a visiting scholar at the University of New York's Department of Culture and Communication. In addition, Deverell will be involved with the CBC's Children's and New Media department and is working towards a stint at the European Broadcasting Union.
Brand strategist Susan Ho-Berzon has joined Tech TV to establish a marketing and sales office in Hong Kong. Tech TV is readying to launch a 24-hour cable and satellite channel in Asia later this year.
Country Music Television has hired Kaye Zusmann as VP, program development and production. She was previously director of programming at Home & Garden Television.
Gary Rosenson has been named VP, western division sales and marketing at Playboy TV Networks.
VH1 has announced two appointments: Peter Gaffney to VP, program planning and Rick Krim to executive VP, talent and music programming.
New York-based Hearst Entertainment Distribution has welcomed Jennifer Berman to the post of director of advertising and public relations.
Tony Steyger, previously with Victoria Real, has announced he will establish a facilities company named The Bridge, in Brighton, U.K.
