The Nightingale Company is teaming up with reality veterans Sean Connolly and Burak Ozgan to launch Gorilla Media, to focus on creating factual entertainment and documentaries.
Gorilla will be headed by Connolly and Ozgan alongside Debbie Nightingale, president of the Toronto prodco.
"Partnering with Burak and Sean gives us an opportunity to push further into the factual side of this business where we believe there is a lot of opportunity. Each of them has made an impressive name for themselves in the factual field, and together they make a dynamic and highly creative team," commented Nightingale.
Connolly has built his resume working at Toronto companies such as Red Apple Entertainment and Ellis Entertainment, and was recently in charge of development at Proper Television, where he worked on lifestyle series including Slice's Newlywed, Nearly Dead? and HGTV Canada's Realtor vs. Realtor. Ozgan has worked as lead editor on series such as Canada's Next Top Model and the Discovery Canada ratings hit Canada's Worst Driver.
