What was your favorite home makeover in Trading Spaces history?
I know the homeowners hated it, but my favorite room ever was Doug [Wilson]'s 'White Whoa' (the all-white room).

Have you ever recreated any Trading Spaces designs in your own home?
Not necessarily any specific designs. But my tastes have definitely been influenced by the designers; I'm significantly more contemporary now.

What is your proudest work-related accomplishment?
Getting the audition for Trading Spaces. It was very difficult because my résumé was all theater-related. It did not reflect any television experience. So to even get in the door was a big accomplishment. It was quite the campaigning effort.

Also, making it to Broadway. Even if I never book another show, I'll always be able to say, "I made it." Like the song says, "If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere. New York. New York."

Do you have any rituals before live performances?
I like to do 20 push-ups in the wing right before I enter.

What is your workplace philosophy?
All for one and one for all. I believe in team-work, collaboration, and the celebration and acknowledgment of each individual's contributions to the whole.

What is your favorite book?
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It reminds me of my Aunt.

What's your most overused word?
I've fallen into the Grey's Anatomy habit of saying "Seriously." I also say, "How you durrin'?" It's a Shirley Q. Liquor saying.

Who do you most admire?
Oprah. And any person who is adventurous and spontaneous.

What's your secret to keeping a level head on set?
Though I am deeply committed and passionate about my job, I always keep in mind that it's just a tv show after all.
