History goes big online

New EVP and GM Nancy Dubuc is wasting no time in trying to bring an A&E-style makeover to The History Channel, and look for much of that dynamism to be targeted towards the Web this summer. THC is significantly revamping its Web presence, and adding several new content features.

Announced are: Band of Bloggers, which will feature content generated by soldiers in the field; The Naked Underground, which ties to History series Cities of the Underworld; Hero Ships; History Uncut; and a series of 94 half-hour docs from filmmaker George Lucas to be based around the director's The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
