International Wildlife Film Festival
IWFF, the oldest wildlife fest in the world, turns 30 this year. Helping celebrate is keynote speaker Michael Rosenfeld, president of Nat Geo TV. Taking place in Missoula, Montana, May 12 to 19, the event's theme is 'Crisis, Hope, Vision - Solutions for Planet Earth.' The festival will include workshops and networking opportunities - and even a barn dance. Dr. George Schaller, vice president of science and exploration for the Wildlife Conservation Society, will receive the lifetime achievement award.

Hot Docs
On April 23, Toronto's Hot Docs festival will host a coproduction day for the first time in its history. The event will feature case studies and one-on-one meetings to spur future collaborations. An international panel of producers, including delegations from Germany, Italy and Brazil, will discuss government policy, funding and the vagaries of broadcasting around the world.
