World Congress of Science and Factual Producers
Quickly approaching is the newly renamed 14th annual World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (formerly the World Congress of Science Producers, for those that haven't had their coffee yet), an event expected to welcome over 400 attendees from more than 20 countries. Renamed to reflect the overlapping of science-based programming with genres like history, religion and politics in recent editions, wcsfp descends on Manchester from Nov. 11 to 14. The networking-heavy event aims to foster international copros and create and strengthen business relationships through workshops, pitch sessions, panels and more.

World Congress of History Producers
Packed with opportunities to hobnob with brethren in the history and biography TV arena, the 6th annual World Congress of History Producers happens Nov. 16 to 19 in London. The congress will brim with sessions (including 'The Great Debate: Does Television Enhance or Diminish History?' and 'Passing it On: Personal History Goes Mainstream'), debates, keynote speeches, networking events galore and gala receptions. New this year is the Commissioning Editors' Roundtable - an exclusive chance for broadcasters (read: not you, producers) to discuss copro opportunities. But producers, take heart: there are lunches with CEs for your benefit, and last year, more than two thirds of wchp's survey respondents found production partners at the congress.
